Statement of Commencement of Live Streaming

The Mayor made an announcement about live streaming requirements noting that:

Public Forums are recorded and live streamed to the Internet for public viewing.

The recording will be archived and made available on Council’s website www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians of Bega Valley Shire

The Mayor commenced by acknowledging, on behalf of Bega Valley Shire Council, the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of the Shire, the people of Yuin nation, to show respect to elders past and present.

Item 8.4 Finalisation of Commercial Land Use Strategy Planning Proposal

1	Mr Graeme Brittliff	Self	Face to Face	Seeking to have vacant land on the corner of Bega Street and Cliff Place, Tathra to be rezoned from B2 Local Centre to B4 Mixed Use. The properties identified to be rezoned are located directly to the west of my property however my property has not currently been identified as a site recommended. There is a huge demand for further residential property opportunities for Tathra however there is a major shortage of land due to Tathra being surrounded by national parks and state forest.
2	Ms Naomi White	The Joint owners of 3 Sapphire Coast Drive Merimbula, and 13 and 15 Canning St, Bega, (Authority Received)	Face to Face	Requesting that council: - maintaining B4 zoning in Merimbula for the four lots which include the buildings currently occupied by the National Parks office, the physiotherapy practice and police station - maintain B4 zoning for the western side of Canning Street , Bega - give reasons for these requests
