Statement of Commencement of Live Streaming

The Mayor made an announcement about live streaming requirements noting that:

Public Forums are recorded and live streamed to the Internet for public viewing.

The recording will be archived and made available on Council’s website www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians of Bega Valley Shire

The Mayor commenced by acknowledging, on behalf of Bega Valley Shire Council, the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of the Shire, the people of Yuin nation, to show respect to elders past and present.

The BVSC aims to abolish STRA in all R2 areas without any public consult at all...Was not on display as an option on the paper that was up for public consult in February. There will not be a need for a long-term affordable housing strategy in the BVSC as there will not be jobs in the BVSC...

We will refer directly to the questions put forward to council staff at last months council meeting on the 20th April by Mayor Fitzpatrick and the responses provided.

We wish to speak to the item and the impact a potential down grade of water service will have on the affected property owners, including agricultural and primary producer businesses, give insight into the fact that water is the life blood of any farm enterprise and ask that a report from Water and Sewer be given priority to see a timely solution

12: 36pm     Cr Tony Allen left the room due to a conflict of interest, owner of a dairy farm serviced (in the past) by this service.
